New Series Premiering…

Destination America to Premiere New Series PROJECT AFTERLIFE, 8/9

If you’re new to the network station, Destination America, it’s part of Discovery Communications and it is the only network that celebrates the people, places and stories of the United States, which is the main reason why I tune in.

Destination America’s targeted audience is adults between 25-54, giving their audience a large dose of  what America is all about:  the grit and tenacity, honesty and work ethic, humor and adventurousness that characterize our nation, making America the envy of the world.

OK, this new series is right up my alley, so to speak…

There’s a new Six-Part Original Series on Destination America, premiering Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 10 PM ET / 9 PM CT.  Find out if you have this station available on their “Channel Finder.

The name of the show is “Project Afterlife”, where investigators examine stories from people who claim to have come back from the dead.  They try to unfold what happens after we die.  What really happens after we die?  For a Sneak Peek of Project Afterlife on Destination America, click on the picture.  Detailed info on this new series follows below…

Here’s what “Project Afterlife” is all about, according to broadwayworld

People who say they have visited the afterlife challenge everything we understand about death. If death is the great equalizer, how and why are some victims able to come back from death while others are not? In Destination America‘s all-new series PROJECT AFERLIFE, a team of investigators motivated by their own experiences with pulling victims back from the grave – including a paramedic, an ordained minister, a retired state trooper, and an investigative filmmaker – launch an unprecedented quest to unlock the mysteries of resurrection with help from real people who say they have gone through it. PROJECT AFTERLIFE premieres Sunday, August 9 at 10/9c on Destination America.

Each episode follows the team as they investigate two stories of the most fascinating contemporary cases of resurrection across America. Survivors were in the prime of their lives when an accident or sudden illness led to their untimely deaths, only to inexplicably return to life. Through cinematic recreations and first-person interviews with survivors, PROJECT AFTERLIFE explores the mystery of resurrection while bringing viewers up close and personal to the experience. Hear directly from survivors about the moment they realized they were dead, what – and who – awaited them on the other side, what it felt like to die and come back, and how it changed their lives afterward.

“People have wondered about resurrection for all of mankind, but modern reports in America have our team of investigators looking at it in a whole new light. They’re on a mission to unlock its mysteries with an exploration into more cases than anyone has ever researched before,” said Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America. “For fans of ghost and mystery programming, PROJECT AFTERLIFE offers a new take on the genre that’s full of CURIOSITY and hope that there is LIFE AFTER life after death.”

In PROJECT AFTERLIFE, the investigation team pours through case files, examines medical records, and visits key locations in each case to better understand these documented experiences by survivors. Interviews with doctors and family who kept vigil bring investigators one step closer to understanding resurrection by revealing key patterns in the surrounding circumstances, such as loved ones always holding the victim’s left hand during prayer.

The investigators who have researched more cases of resurrection than anyone else before are:

Johnny Clark, investigative filmmaker – Johnny is the visionary storyteller behind the groundbreaking 2013 documentary Deadraiser, which examines the ability of humans to raise the dead. Since the film’s release, Johnny has continued investigating resurrection cases increasingly coming to light in the U.S. with an investigative team comprised of other people who share his passion for unlocking clues about how the supernatural phenomenon works.

Jesse Birkey, paramedic – Jesse’s job frequently puts him on the frontlines of death, but everything changed one day in 2009 when he took part in a resurrection after praying for the patient to come back to life. Jesse has since continued to mix prayer and medicine in his professional duties and wrote a book, Life Resurrected: Extraordinary Miracles Through Ordinary People.

Rodger Frievalt, ordained minister – Once a skeptic of all things supernatural, Rodger became so inspired by reports of modern-day miracles that he left behind a successful career in sales and marketing to become a full-time minister and healing evangelist. Since finding his calling, Rodger has witnessed sight being restored to the blind and a brain dead woman coming back to consciousness, strengthening his desire to heal the sick and cast out demons.

Sam Wagner, retired state trooper – After completing his enlistment in the United States Marine Corps, Sam was a member of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol for more than 15 years. While on duty in July 2008, he witnessed the resurrection of an infant as the child laid dead in his arms. Then in June 2012, he watched his nephew return from the dead following a drug overdose. Sam’s life has been forever altered, and he believes that we all have the power to bring people back from the other side.

In the premiere on Sunday, August 9 at 10/9c, Jesse and Johnny investigate the medical phenomena of two resurrection cases. Jesse travels to Palm Beach, Fla., to meet Jeff Markin, who died from a massive heart attack. What Jeff saw in the afterlife, and what unfolded in the hospital while he was dead, is beyond medical explanation. World renowned cardiologist Dr. Chauncey Crandall called his TIME OF DEATH after resuscitation attempts failed, but he ultimately played a role in Jeff’s resurrection after feeling an overwhelming urge to pray at Jeff’s bedside. Meanwhile in Crystal Lake, Mich., Johnny meets with Darnisha Taylor, whose husband discovered her drowned to death in a lake following a scuba diving accident. Was it her ability to make conscious decisions in the afterlife that saved her, or did her husband and his paranormal encounters bring her back to life?

PROJECT AFTERLIFE is produced for Destination America by Screaming Flea Productions with Bechara “Bicha” Gholam, Dave Severson, and Mike Kelly as executive producers. For Destination America, Fay Yu and Christine Shuler are executive producers, Marc Etkind is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is Group President.

Resurrection: Trailer

In a small town in Arcadia, MO, a small boy who died suddenly reappears—32 years later—and was returned to his astounded parents.  People who had passed are suddenly being “resurrected”.  This new series intrigues me.  It begs the question:  Who would you want to resurrect?  My answer, at this point in time, would be…our Founding Fathers.

I’m going to tape this series because this subject matter is something I’ve always been curious about.  It starts tonight at 9PM (ET) on ABC, Channel 5 so make sure to set your DVRs.  The story below (from the Boston Herald) explains this series in detail…

QueenBee

From:  http://bostonherald.com/entertainment/television/resurrection

Grateful dead: ABC’s fascinating ‘Resurrection’ is the living end

An 8-year-old boy wakes up, gasping in a rice paddy in rural China.

U.S. immigration officer J. Martin “Marty” Bellamy (Omar Epps, “House”) ultimately returns him to his home in Arcadia, Mo.

His parents, Lucille (Frances Fisher, “Titanic”) and Henry Langston (Kurtwood Smith (“That ’70s Show”), are stunned to see him — he drowned 32 years earlier.

So begins the promising and eerie drama “Resurrection,” an adaptation of a French TV hit.

As in “The Walking Dead,” the dearly — and not-so-dearly — departed are once again shambling the earth, not to consume flesh, but to reopen old wounds, stoke old griefs and grievances and maybe with an agenda all their own. As agents of a higher power? The first wave of a Satanic force?

This boy, Jacob (Landon Gimenez), is unable to explain his reappearance, but he does remember the moment of his death. What he reveals changes his extended family, especially his uncle, Sheriff Fred Langston (Matt Craven, “Crimson Tide”), and his daughter Maggie (Devin Kelley, “Covert Affairs”), a doctor.

Those who think Jacob’s return is some sort of elaborate hoax are in for another shock when someone else believed dead and cremated returns to the small town.

Pastor Tom Hale (Mark Hildreth, “The Tudors”), who just happened to be Jacob’s childhood buddy decades earlier, finds his faith shaken and questions how he can lead his parish in the face of this unknown.

Right now the returnees are confined to Arcadia, and Marty is determined to remain in the town to solve the mystery.

Epps is quietly commanding as the investigator thrust into the unknown — and hiding some baggage of his own, apparently.

Fisher and Smith are terrific as 60-somethings now welcoming back the child they thought they buried decades earlier. Fisher’s mother doesn’t need an explanation; Smith’s father remains distrustful even as proof mounts in the boy’s favor.

“Resurrection” does something few dramas do today — it gives its characters breathing room to absorb and react to the fantastic in their lives, rather than forcing them to run from one plot point to another. Some will find this pace too leisurely.

It’s also unclear whether the producers have thought out the endgame or even how to sustain this show for more than a season.

One seemingly significant supporting character played by Nicholas Gonzalez (“Sleepy Hollow”) disappears between the pilot and the second episode with no explanation and apparently won’t be returning.

That suggests a show that doesn’t know where it’s heading.

But ABC’s most grievous error when it comes to “Resurrection”?

Scheduling this show smack against AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” the No. 1 show in prime time.

That’s just asking to be buried.

“RESURRECTION” Series premiere tonight at 9 on WCVB (Ch. 5). Grade: B

DVR ALERT: “AMERICA’S GOT TALENT” — VIDEO OF CONTESTANT JIMMY ROSE, MARINE VET, PERFORMS A SONG HE WROTE—”COAL KEEPS THE LIGHTS ON”…

Posted on September 14, 2013. Filed under: Inspirational..., Military..., Music..., QueenBeeWorld's DVR Alert... | Tags: , |

I’m not really a country fan and I haven’t watched “America’s Got Talent”, but after watching this video online, I’m a fan and I will tuning in just to watch this very humble Marine vet hopefully catapult to stardom.  With all the faux singers out there with equally faux passion and talent, it’s refreshing to see talent like this come up from the coal mines of Kentucky, America’s most productive coal field.

Finally, an inspirational song sung by an extraordinary and talented man—right when we needed a whole lot of uplifting.  Here’s a video from “America’s Got Talent”, featuring Jimmy Rose, a humble Marine vet who once worked the coal mines four days after graduating from high school at age 18.  Jimmy saw first-hand how dangerous coal mining is and said…

“It’s such a hard life, and it’s dangerous.  It kind of made me think…’If you’re gonna risk your life, then risk it for your country, ya know.  It’s more than worth it’.  When you’re getting shot at, you look at things a lot different, and you look at life a lot different.  And to make it home from something like that, I feel fortunate…”

He then joined the U.S. Marines where he learned to play the guitar while fighting for his country and his life.  He took to the America’s Got Talent” stage and sang a song he himself wrote, entitled “Coal Keeps The Lights On”—a beautiful country ballad, paying homage to his life in the coal mines and to his hometown.  He sang it with such heart and soul that it makes you stop, listen and learn…

The show’s host, Nick Cannon, talked with Jimmy before he went on stage.  It would have been nice if Nick had shook Jimmy’s hand and thanked him for his service to our country, but thankfully, Howie Mandell had the good sense to thank him for all of us.

May God bless Jimmy and inspire him to write and sing more uplifting songs that, in turn, inspire all of us.  You can wish him a very Happy Birthday on his Facebook page.

This is the finals.  Will Jimmy win?  I’m rooting for him.  “America’s Got Talent” airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 PM ET / 8 PM CST.  Check local listings for airing times in your area.

Good luck, Jimmy, and thank you so much for your service to this great country of ours.  You are what America is all about.  You are a large part of the essence that has made America the greatest country on earth.  Semper Fi…

Lovingly,

QueenBee

The men of ‘Duck Dynasty’ pose with Maria Menounos during an appearance on ‘LIVE! with Kelly and Michael’ Wednesday.

Phil Robertson, Willie Robertson, Si Robertson, Jase Robertson and Jep Robertson, members of the smash hit TV Series, Duck Dynasty, recently appeared on “Live with Kelly and Michael”, with guest co-host, Maria Menounos (sitting in for Kelly) and Michael Strahan while visiting New York during the week.

Here’s the video of the interview on their morning show that aired Wednesday, August 14th.  Jase Robertson joked, “I think it was a facial profile deal” when he was kicked out of a New York hotel he was staying in after he asked an employee where the restroom was.  He was told, “Right here, sir”, and was quickly ushered out because he was mistaken for a homeless guy.  You can’t make this stuff up.  Hilarious!  He then went on to say that he spotted three rats while he was there, stating “I’m noticing these things; that’s the hunter in me”.  Rats in New York…LOL…and Maria chimed in “Really?“, as if it’s not commonplace.  LOL  She further embarrassed herself by asking them…”What exactly is hunting season?”  HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!

These men, and they are men, are what’s good in America.  They’re funny, unassuming and don’t flaunt their success with flashy clothes or huge diamond stud earrings hanging off their ears or gaudy gold chains hanging around their necks.  They’re the real deal, and that’s why they’re so popular.  It’s refreshing to finally see someone famous laugh off a potential racial moment with humor and dignity…

“To me, there’s nothing sexier than a guy who’s not afraid to get his hands dirty, not afraid to reject peer pressure, not afraid to stand up for what’s right (even if it’s not popular), having the courage to stand by his convictions, always treats women with dignity and respect, and most importantly, not afraid to openly show the world his love for God, his country and his family.  That’s my definition of what a man is.”

In the spirit of my usual “Friday Funnies”, I’m spotlighting a very funny show that I encourage you to start watching…

Whenever I come across a show that captures my attention (in a good way), I caption it as a “DVR Alert” and share it under “TV and Radio” on my site.  Since this category has become so popular, I’ve given it its own Category:  “QueenBeeWorld’s DVR Alert”.  You can now click on that particular category to see the programs I watch, including upcoming specials or programs I feel are important enough to DVR…

EnterDuck Dynasty“—a show about the Robertson family who is living the American Dream and became wealthy from their family-owned business making duck calls.  New episodes of Duck Dynasty can be seen on the A&E Cable channel every Wednesday, 10 PM ET.  Check for times in your area.  If you want to watch the premier episode and / or catch up on past episodes (some are full episodes) and see what everyone’s quacking about, click here.

Duck Dynasty is a clean representation of the American Spirit, not the usual tasteless reality shows that are so abundant on TV and in social media, but American values that once were embraced and emulated by the masses.

The very successful business was started in 1972 when Phil Alexander Robertson created the “Duck Commander” duck call.  He could have made a lucrative career out of football when he was offered a contract by the Washington Redskins after his junior year, but he turned it down because it interfered with his passion—duck season.  He didn’t take the road most traveled—making millions as so many NFL players do who follow the money—instead, he stood his ground and followed his heart, professing his strong belief in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as many of us do.  I feel God has rewarded him and his family (literally and figuratively) for choosing faith over money.  Not only do they talk about the American Spirit, they live by it each and every day.  For that, he and his whole family have earned my respect.

I truly believe God shows us all the right path to follow as well, but it’s up to us if we want to take that road less traveled.  God has given us all free will, and the success of this show reveals a family that consistently takes the high road—the right road—and follows their hearts, unscripted, BTW.  They don’t follow the worthless scripts so carefully worded as other reality shows so often do, and that is their downfall—shows that I don’t watch at all.

I always shine a light on what’s really important to me, whether good or bad.  I tune in to Duck Dynasty because they have a faith and core values similar to mine, which is why I’m shining a bright light on this show.  I love how they pray as a family at the end of each episode.  If more people tuned in to more shows like this, and tune out classless, clueless reality shows that are rampant on TV and in social media, America would see [and hopefully imitate] the true values that made America a great nation from the start.  It seems we’re losing those values at a high rate of speed, and we need to get them back if America is to thrive as it once did.

The story, including pictures, is below my post, but before I close, I’d like you to watch three short videos…

…the first, is a recent interview Bill O’Reilly had with CEO Willie Robertson on The O’Reilly Factor on the FoxNews Cable station…

O’Reilly Interviews Duck Dynasty CEO Willie Robertson ‘They Epitomize The American Spirit’

…the second, is a video slideshow of this beautiful family on Phil and Kay’s 48th Anniversary last year…

“You Have Each Other” – #DuckDynasty Phil & Miss Kay (48th anniversary)

…and the third is a snippet of Phil and Kay Robertson renewing their marriage vows on their 49th wedding anniversary during the 4th Season premier of Duck Dynasty.  This video should be included with every wedding package, and viewed by everyone because it shows how to make a marriage blossom and grow with love and mutual respect, and it shows how to treat the lives that God gave us with the dignity and respect that we all deserve.  There are no T & A shots in this series to entice viewership because they don’t have to resort to tasteless tactics to bring in viewership—because sex doesn’t sell as much as the American Spirit of mutual respect for one another and the core values that make America the greatest country on earth…

Redneck Renewal Best Wishes to Phil and Kay

To all those people out there who look up to celebrities and read about every dirty deed they do, and imitate their rotten behavior…

If you want to emulate someone, emulate this family because you’ll get nowhere fast if you continue to emulate the drug addicts and boozers that are the so-called “heroes of Sports and Hollywood fame”.  In the end, a lot of them self-destruct and / or die because of their appalling behavior and poor choices they make, and sadly, that’s how their followers will probably end up if they don’t change their ways.

There’s a good reason why 11.8 million people tuned in to watch the August 15th, Season 4 premier of Duck Dynasty, and continue to watch—because Americans are thirsty for America to regain what it’s in jeopardy of losing–the American Spirit…

How did a show about a ‘redneck’ family who make duck calls become the most watched cable show EVER? Season premiere of Duck Dynasty shatters records

  • 11.8 million people watched the August 15 season 4 premiere

The A&E series Duck Dynasty made a big splash Wednesday when it kicked off its fourth season with the highest ratings for any cable reality show in history.

The show that follows the Robertsons—a West Monroe, Louisiana brood of duck hunters who’ve become filthy rich from a business selling duck calls—who drew an unbelievable 11.8 million viewers on Wednesday.

And they’re probably getting filthier. The record ratings come after A&E gave in to the off-beat clan’s demands for higher pay and amidst the growing popularity of the Duck Commander brand merchandise that made them rich in the first place.

The network said the episode took its place as the No. 1 non-fiction series telecast in cable history in total viewers as well as all key demographic groups, most notably the coveted 18 to 49 demographic.

The fourth-season premiere grew by more than one-third in total viewers over last season’s debut.

Season three premiered with 8.6 million viewers last year and ranked as the number two most watched cable show of the season, behind AMC’s The Walking Dead.

It’s a phenomenon even Jase Robertson, one of the family’s bearded second generation, thought he’d never see.

‘My dad (Phil) echoed that,’ he told USA Today. ‘I think he said something along the lines of “A redneck family, they’re not going to run that.”’

The blockbuster premier on Wednesday placed the long-bearded Robertson boys ahead of another famously hirsute cable star. Duck Dynasty’s 11.8 million viewers beat out the wildly popular conclusion of History’s The Bible, which portrayed the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, by around 100,000 viewers.

There are also t-shirts, DVD collections, and a cookbook by Phil’s wife Kay.

Watch Full Episodes!

This is a show about Theresa Caputo, a married, Long Island, NY mother, who happens to be a spiritual medium.  Her husband, Larry; son, Larry, Jr.; and daughter, Victoria, try to live with her “gift”.  She claims that since the age of 4, she’s been able to see dead people, fully realizing it in her late twenties.  Her reality show is called “Long Island Medium”, on TLC (check your local listings for scheduling).  I didn’t see her on the Dr. Oz show, but she was interviewed there.  The interview is in five parts, which I’m posting here, but you can also access them on the link to Part 1.  Here’s the videos from that interview…

The Long Island Medium, Pt 2

The Long Island Medium, Pt 3

The Long Island Medium, Pt 4

The Long Island Medium, Pt 5

Even if you don’t believe in life after death, this show is a welcome diversion from all the negativity out there today.  Just watching Theresa talk with and comfort those who are hurting after the loss of a loved one is reason enough to watch.  I’m new to this show—I knew of her, but I never watched her show.  I was talking about her with one of my sisters, who encouraged me to watch her show.  She said my mannerisms are a lot like Theresa’s, and you know what, she’s right!  I am a lot like Theresa!  Our mannerisms are the same, we both have blond hair, but her eyes are blue, mine are green.  Even our husbands are the same—we’re both fiery, up in the clouds and our husbands are both cool, calm, collected and very down-to-earth.

I always said if God ever blessed me with a power, I’d want it to be healing the sick, but this runs a close second—healing those left behind after the loss of a loved one.  I recently taped a few episodes to see what it’s all about.  This is the first episode I watched (episode below) because it’s about my favorite holiday, Christmas!  It’s also the episode that changed my mind about “typical reality shows”.  One part of this episode hit me like a ton of bricks—the part about always seeing the number 11-11.  I always see those numbers everywhere I go, and now I see it here as well…

There’s a two year waiting list to get a reading from her, but you can enter a contest to win a reading on Sundays from 9 PM to 3 AM ET.  See if you’re eligible.  Good luck!  I’ll be entering as well.  I’d love for her to read me.  She’d have her hands full, for sure…

Spiritually yours,

QueenBee
