It’s comforting to know that some Republicans, like Rep. Trey Gowdy of South Carolina, care enough about America, its people and its laws to give an uplifting speech about what their roles are “in the People’s House”, and also what Obama’s role is as well.

This quote is an excerpt from a great speech he gave in the House Chamber to the Speaker in August of 2014.  It’s even more relevant today after Obama overstepped his boundaries [again] by forcing amnesty of illegal aliens through executive order.  Below is the speech where Mr. Gowdy received a standing ovation.  We applaud you, Mr. Gowdy…

Several different buildings and bodies have been called “the People’s House” in this country, including the House of Representatives, the Capitol building, and the White House. All elected officials are here to represent the people. It is in the hands of the people to peacefully remove those office holders who no longer represent their constituents at subsequent elections.

Most of us agree with you, but you don’t have to convince us, you have to convince the low information voters out there. That’s a monumental task, but it’s the only way to fight the rampant political corruption…
