DOES THE FIRST OF FOUR TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSES (STARTING ON TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 2014) START THE APOCALYPTIC BIBLE PROPHESY IN MOTION? SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ISRAEL…
On Tuesday, April 15, there will be a total lunar eclipse that will turn the moon a coppery red, NASA says. It’s called a blood moon, and it’s one of four total eclipses that will take place in North America within the next year and a half. Pictured here is a blood moon seen over Gaza City in March 2007.
There will be four Total Lunar Eclipses occurring in North America within 1½ year’s time, each within a 6-month timeframe. The dates of these Eclipses are:
April 15, 2014
October 8, 2014
April 4, 2015 (Some sites incorrectly state April 8, 2015)
September 28, 2015
According to SpaceRef, the Lunar Eclipse is set to begin at 12:58 AM (CDT). Check for the correct time in your area. As Earth’s shadow falls upon the Moon, the part in the shadow will turn dark, and look as though a chunk was taken out of the Moon, and will grow bigger as minutes pass.
Just over an hour later (2:02 AM, CDT), the moon will be fully eclipsed, completely red, lasting for approximately 1 hour, 18 minutes. The Moon will slowly emerge out of Earth’s shadow around 3:25 AM (CDT) and will have moved out completely by 4:33 AM (CDT), moving from south to southwest. Bright orange Mars will shine to its upper right.
This entire event will last about 3½ hours, and will be visible if the sky is clear over most of the United States, except Alaska and New England. In Alaska, the Moon will rise with the partial eclipse in progress. In New England, the Moon will set before the eclipse ends.
Some speculate that on the last of the Tetrad Lunar Eclipses (September 28, 2015), it will usher in the Second Coming of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. This is interesting reading, but I don’t believe there will be an apocalypse or second coming on that date. What I do believe is that there will be strong changes in Israel and they will probably affect the United States as we’re its strongest ally. Whether they will be good or bad changes, well, only God knows that. Am I worried? No. The way I look at it, if the world survived five years of Obama and his corrupt administration, and the coming of ObamaCare in America, we’re strong enough to survive anything…

Rise of the ‘blood moons’: Rare alignments of Mars, Earth and the sun ‘associated with major religious events’ begin this week
- Next week begins the start of the ‘Tetrad,’ a series of lunar eclipses
- The four ‘blood-red’ moons are followed by six full moons
- The cycle finishes at the end of September 2015
- It coincides with an alignment of Earth, Mars and the sun
- The chance alignment has only happened three times in the last 500 years
- Some Christians believe the Tetrad, is a signal the end of the world is near
- Tetrads are associated with significant religious events
If you spotted an orange-coloured ‘star’ on Tuesday night, then you were probably looking at Mars.
In fact, the event you witnessed was rare – for the first time in 778 days, Mars, Earth and the sun aligned in an ‘opposition of the planets.’
To scientists this is a unique but ultimately meaningless arrangement, but to a Christian minority, it marks the beginning of significant events – even the second coming of Jesus Christ.
The unusual alignment of the sun, Earth and Mars Tuesday night happened a week before the beginning of another astrological event that some believe is associated with the end of the world
John Hagee, a Christian pastor who has written a book on the Tetrad called ‘Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change’ told the Daily Express that Tuesday night marked the dawn of a ‘hugely significant event’ for the world.
‘Nasa has confirmed that the Tetrad has only happened three times in more than 500 years — and that it’s going to happen now.’
Also known as the ‘Tetrad’, since it involves four successive total ‘blood-red’ lunar eclipses each followed by six full moons, Nasa has confirmed it started Tuesday night and will end on September 28, 2015.
In the 21st century, tetrads are a frequent occurrence, with nine sets in total, but this has not always been the case.
From 1600 to 1900, for example, there were none at all.
Next week begins a cycle known as the ‘Tetrad,’ which involves a series of four dark red ‘blood moons.’ At the end of the cycle in September 2015, some believe the end of the world will happen
The Book of Joel in the King James Bible prophesied about the blood moons and the end of the world: ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.’
According to Mr Hagee, each time the Tetrad has happened during that time, there has been a significant religious event accompanied with it.
In 1493, the first Tetrad saw the expulsion of Jews by the Catholic Spanish Inquisition.
The second happened in 1949, right after the State of Israel was founded.
And the most recent one, in 1967, happened during the Six-Day War between Arabs and Israelis.
This graphic explains why Mars was so visible to the naked eye on Tuesday night
Mr Hagee said the the first of the blood moons will happen on April 15, right in the middle of the Jewish holiday of Passover.
The second, on October 8, occurs during the Feast of the Tabernacle.
The third will be on April 4, 2015, also during Passover.
The final one happens on September 28, 2015, also during the Feast of the Tabernacles.
WHAT IS A LUNAR ECLIPSE?
A lunar eclipse occurs when the moon passes in the shadow of Earth.
This is an area known as the umbra, where light from the Sun is blocked by our planet.
The light refracts differently in the atmosphere and, as it hits the moon, it makes it appear red.
This gives rise to its ‘blood red’ appearance during a total eclipse, when the entire moon is in shadow.
If it skirts the shadow, known as a partial or penumbral eclipse, the effect is less dramatic.

Some Christians were quick to relate the rare event to the apocalyptic prophecy in Joel 2:31, which reads, “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.” (KJV)
If history is any indicator, the tetrad may indeed bring some significant change. The last three “Blood Moon Tetrads” have all coincided with a globally significant religious event, according to Express.
In 1493, the first Tetrad since the Middle Ages occurred when Jews were expulsed by the Catholic Spanish Inquisition in Europe.
In 1949, the State of Israel was established following thousands of years of struggle.
In 1967, the earlier-than-expected Tetrad coincided with Six-Day Arab-Israeli War.
“According to the Biblical prophecy, world history is about to change dramatically,” says John Hagee, Pastor and author of “Four Blood Moons: Something Is About to Change,” Express reports.
“To get four blood moons you need something absolutely extraordinary in astrological terms.”
“Every time this has happened in the last 500 years, it has coincided with tragedy for the Jewish people followed by triumph. And once again, for Israel, the timing of this Tetrad is remarkable. The first of the four blood moons will come on April 15 this year, during Passover. The second will be on October 8, at the time of the Feast of the Tabernacle,” he explains.
“On April 4 2015, during Passover, we will have another blood moon. Then finally, on September 28, during next year’s Feast of the Tabernacles, the fourth blood and final moon will dawn.”

|Passover/Tabernacles tetrads since the time of Jesus|
On April 15, 2014, there will be a total lunar eclipse. It will be the first of four consecutive total eclipses in a series, known as a tetrad (the remaining three eclipses will take place on October 8, 2014, April 8, 2015, and September 28, 2015). It will be one of 8 tetrads during the 21st century AD. Like all eclipses, it is probable that the moon will appear to be a dark red color during the eclipse due to the refraction of sunlight through the Earth’s atmosphere. This is the same effect that causes sunsets to appear red.
In John Hagee’s book, Four Blood Moons: Something is about to change, he argues that the timing of the eclipse and subsequent eclipse in the tetrad (all coinciding with Passover and Sukkot) and the “rarity” of a tetrad is strong evidence a major change of course in history will occur. Both Hagee and Biltznote that the last three tetrads to coincide with Passover and Sukkot roughly corresponded with important events in Jewish history: the 1493–94 tetrad roughly aligns with the 1492 expulsion of the Jews from Spain; the 1949–50 event roughly corresponds with the re-establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 and the ensuing 1948 Arab-Israeli War; and the 1967–68 tetrad started right before the Six Day War. The tetrad is thus seen a “sign” of things to come. Overall, there have been 62 tetrads since the first century AD, eight of which have coincided with the feasts of Passover and Sukkot.
