UPDATED: 08-29-11: THE HORROR OF THE FOGEL FAMILY MASSACRE (GLENN BECK VIDEO)…
UPDATED: Monday, August 29, 2011 6:15 PM (My original post follows my updates)…
Eighteen-year-old Hakim Awad, murderer of five members of the Fogel family, confessed in court. He wanted his family to help him dispose of evidence and when they refused, he threatened to kill some other innocent victim so his family helped him cover up his crime. Sentencing will commence in September, and the surviving Fogel family members will give their testimonies then as well (a link to this story follows my post here).
I wish I can say that the Fogel family will have some justice here with this conviction, but sadly, I cannot. Five members of the Fogel family are dead because of this heathen and his slaves of violence. The Fogel family had to bury their dead, and yet this savage beast will be getting three squares and a place to live after savagely killing five innocent members of the same family. These murderers get to have fair trials. How is this fair to the victims? What about the victims’ rights? It should be a global law that if you break the law, you forfeit your rights. If you had harsher sentences as well, there would be a steep decline in lawlessness. Criminals shouldn’t get any rights for heinous acts such as this. They should suffer the same fate as their victims.
Why didn’t the prosecution seek the death penalty? It may take years, but these murderous beasts will get what they deserve. They always do…

On Friday, March 11, 2011, Udi Fogel, 36; his wife Ruth, 35; and three of their six children: son Yoav, 11; son Elad, 4; and daughter Hadas, 3 months old, were stabbed to death in Itamar, some say in retaliation for the Israeli government’s approval for the construction of a 400+ housing unit complex to be built on the West Bank.
Here’s a story that says it all…
This New York Times article within that post (Israel: New Settlement Housing After Bloody Attack) is despicable..
Say what you want against Glenn Beck, but if it weren’t for him, we wouldn’t know half the atrocities happening in this world. My first question (which I ask almost on a daily basis) is “What is happening in this world?” The unspeakable horrors that plague not just this country, but the whole world speaks volumes as to where we’re heading—probably to extinction. When I hear Liberals rambling on about how Glenn Beck’s daily 5 PM show on Fox News is inciting fear because of what he talks about infuriates me to no end. All Glenn Beck does is report the clear facts on what’s really going on in this world, and he has only touched the surface of this world’s problems. He doesn’t incite hate. As a matter of fact, he tries to inspire people to rise above all the hate that is so rampant in this once beautiful world of ours.
My next question here is why is Obama so silent against this horrific crime? He was so quick to judge a Massachusetts cop (unjustly, BTW) for “acting stupidly” when someone called the police because of an apparent break in, which turned out to be when his Harvard buddy was mistaken for a burglar trying to get into his own house without a key. Anyone else would have thanked the cops for being so vigilant in watching the neighborhood, but the black professor just couldn’t let a racial rant opportunity slip by. Obama had no business butting in, but he should have butted in about this atrocity against an innocent Jewish family. Maybe it’s because radical Islamic extremists are being named as the violent murderers. Why is it that Obama and everyone else is silent when radical Islam is involved in horrific crimes against humanity such as this? I can’t believe and I don’t understand the evil and hate against the Jewish people. I’m sure all they want is to be left alone to live in peace, but sadly that will never happen for them. Even the innocent are targets. In the Middle East, Israel sits among countries who have a deep rooted hatred for them, yet Israel has been triumphant in holding their own. You have to respect them for that. Look at all these Muslim countries surrounding Israel…
If the media would only focus on the real world problems instead of frothing at the mouth over the theatrics of Glenn Beck, maybe they’d learn a thing or two about the travesties that are taking place around the world today. Maybe then we’d tune in and maybe we’d take their news reports more seriously. I have read more blogs than I can count, both Liberal and Conservative, and I see far more hostility on Liberal blog sites, not just against the Jews, but against everyone who doesn’t agree with their ideology. Sound familiar? Ditto for the Liberal news media. They need to practice what they preach.
The reaction of the Gaza residents after the brutal carnage says a lot about the mentality of these people. These senseless deaths were actually celebrated by them; one called it “joyful”. They have no regard for human life yet the media and Obama stays silent. Just whose side are they on, anyway?
My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the Fogel family. May these innocent souls rest in peace and find comfort in God’s loving arms and may God give Tamar the strength and courage to go on and care for her two surviving brothers, Ro’ie (8) and Yishai (2). I still can’t believe that humans are capable of directing such violent rage onto other humans, especially for no other reason but hate. Maybe they’re not human at all, but just a pack of wild rabid animals. To the filthy cowards who did this, may they reap what they sow, times 1,000…
I’d like you to read a little history of this family that was so savagely attacked and killed. Who knows what this family would have accomplished if they were able to live their lives in peace. Peace is trying to live in the Middle East, but evil is the force that is trying to destroy it. Why??? From Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs…
Mar 11, 2011 – Udi Fogel (36) and Ruth Fogel (35) along with three of their children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old Hadas were stabbed to death by terrorists in their home in Itamar, in northern Samaria.
Udi was the second of five children of Haim and Tzila Fogel, among the founders of the Neve Tzuf community in Samaria. Although he had scientific inclinations, he turned to the field of education and the yeshiva out of ideological motives. He served in the army as an intelligence officer.
Udi and Ruth Fogel lived in Netzarim, in Gush Katif, and after the 2005 disengagement from the Gaza Strip moved to Ariel. They settled in Itamar two years ago, where Udi taught at the post-high school yeshiva, and opened his home to his students. A former neighbor from Netzarim related that they were “an amazing family, always the first to volunteer for everything.”
Rabbi Yehuda Ben-Yishai, Ruth’s father, described his deceased loved ones as “pure souls, righteous of the earth, loved ones, holy ones.”
Udi’s parents recalled the last time they saw Udi, Ruti and the children, on the previous Saturday night. They celebrated the start of the month of Adar Bet in Itamar, danced, sang and laughed.
The eldest daughter of the Fogel family, 12 year old Tamar, promised her relatives: “I will be strong and succeed in overcoming this. I understand the task that stands before me, and I will be a mother to my siblings.”
Udi Fogel was buried at the Har Menuchot Cemetery in Jerusalem alongside his wife Ruth and their three children. They are survived by their daughter Tamar, 12, and sons Ro’ie, 8 and Yishai, 2.
