Walgreens stores are offering Flu-shot gift cards at its 7,500 locations to boost the vaccination for flu, amazing indeed.

The flu vaccination will be provided for twenty four hours along with the gift cards by the 7,500 Walgreens stores, Take Care Clinics and Duane Reed stores.

The program has been collaborated with the United Healthcare (UNH), CIGNA (CI) and some local providers to exercise medical billing deals by the stores.

As expressed by Jason Wolfe, CEO of swapagift. com and giftcards. com, the initiative to offer a gift card for a flu shot is unique in nature and as the flu season is on the edge, so it is likely that the people will prefer gift cards.

Last season, Walgreens provided vaccination for 7 million seasonal flu and H1N1. For the coming season, it has been expected that around 25,000 people will be given shots.

Greg Wasson, President and CEO, Walgreens, said, "We encourage everyone to follow the CDC’s recommendations, and with flu shots available during nearly all pharmacy and clinic hours at Walgreens”.

The conventional flu vaccine has been priced at $29.99. The FluMist Intranasal Spray will also be provided by Walgreens stores for $34.99. One shot will suffice the requirements for vaccination against H1N1, influenza B and the H3N2 virus.

The flu gift cards can be acquired from all Walgreens stores countrywide and online.
