A “BLUE MOON” WILL OCCUR ON NEW YEAR’S EVE…

Posted on December 28, 2009. Filed under: Facts / History / Nostalgia... |

Ever hear the expression, "Once in a Blue Moon"?  A Blue Moon is a second full moon that occurs during the same month, as in this month.  There are usually 12 full moons within a year, but this year, there are thirteen.  A Blue Moon will occur on Thursday, December 31, 2009, making people a lot more spirited this year, in more ways than one.  I find that most people are affected by a full moon—I am one of those people.  It may be because our bodies are mostly made of water and the tides are greatly affected by the full moon, so naturally we’d be affected by them as well.  Watch people during a full moon.  You’ll find that they’re a little more crazier, especially kids.  Even the ER is packed with people during a full moon.  Tack on the fact that it’s a Blue Moon and it’s on a major party night—New Year’s Eve—and you’ve got yourself a real blockbuster of a night!

I had to post this as it’s a rare occurrence.  Hope you have a very Happy and Safe New Year’s!
