ABC Family has what they call “25 Days Of Christmas”, playing all Christmas favorites all month long.  I have to add an animated movie you’ll fall in love with…

Ratatouille will be on ABC Family on Saturday, December 19th from 8-10:30 ET, and believe me it’s really worth the watch.  It’s about a rat who dreams of becoming a gourmet chef.  He teams with an inexperienced kitchen worker at one of Paris’ finest restaurants, and it’s a real charmer.  It’s one of those movies you could watch over and over again…it’s that good!  It’s much better to stay at home with your loved ones and watch a heartwarming great movie than to spend lots of money you don’t even have to go to a stupid movie Hollywood puts out, not for your entertainment, but to line their pockets, most of which are remakes anyway…

Here’s the link to their schedule for the rest of the month.  Print it out and program your favorites in your DVR…

If you want to do yourself and your family a favor, start tuning in to the Hallmark Channel and ABC Family for some really great feel-good Christmas movies and all-around great family entertainment.  Get away from the crap that’s enveloping us all and spend quality time with the people who really matter—your family and friends—pop some popcorn, and watch some really great entertainment.  There are some of my personal favorites that are worth mentioning and worth watching (on the Hallmark Channel)…

The Christmas Card

Moved by an anonymous Christmas card sent to the front lines of Afghanistan, lonely career militarist Captain Cody Cullen travels to the small town of Nevada City to meet the card’s sender, Faith Spelman. Stars Ed Asner, John Newton, and Alice Evans.

A Christmas Visitor

An unexpected visitor enters the lives of two grieving parents to help them remember the joys of Christmas. Stars Meredith Baxter and William Devane.

An All Dogs Christmas Carol (Animated)

Charlie B. Barker is trying to make this Christmas a special one for Timmy, a puppy in need of an operation. But when the mean-spirited Carface decides to spoil Christmas, Charlie and Itchy step in to save the spirit of the season. Stars the voices of Steven Weber, Dom DeLuise and Ernest Borgnine.

White Fang

Jack London’s classic adventure story about the friendship developed between a Yukon gold hunter and the mixed dog-wolf he rescues from the hands of a man who mistreats him. Stars Ethan Hawke.

Here are links to the Hallmark Channel and ABC Family sites.  The Polar Express is another one of my personal favorites, and it’s on ABC Family.  Set your DVRs right now!  Plan some time at home with your loved ones.  It won’t cost you anything, but the rewards are plentiful…

White Fang was filmed in Haines, AK. If you want to catch White Fang II on The Hallmark Channel, it\’s on this Saturday, January 16, 2010 for just that one airing. I DVR\’d it because the first White Fang film was so awesome.
