OBAMAGATE: THE WATERGATE OF 2009…
It’s disturbing how adoring the media is to Obama. They are so bias in their reporting of all things Obama, we will never know exactly how he is performing as our president. If you think Watergate was a big cover up, that’s nothing compared to the media cover up of Obama. As far as they’re concerned, he can do no wrong. Remember when the Democrats and the media were all over Bush’s blunder when he went to open a door and found it was closed…
He was called "a lame duck" along with an assortment of other, more offensive names, yet when Obama called out, "The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree" during his campaigning, the media ignored it. What about the claim by Obama that "he knew nothing about his aunt (his father’s half-sister, ‘Auntie Zetuni’) living in subsidized housing in Boston, MA or her illegal status?" That’s right, Obama, feign ignorance…"I know nothing!" I don’t believe for a minute that he didn’t know. After all, his campaign accepted $250 in donations from her. It will be interesting to see how she fares in her hearing which is scheduled for April. Will Obama come to her rescue? If he does, every illegal alien in the country will demand amnesty as well.
Remember the George Stephanopoulos cover up…
Asked about whether McCain himself has done anything to suggest he’s Muslim, Obama said, “Let’s not play games. What I was suggesting — you’re absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you’re absolutely right that, that has not come…”
“Christian faith,” Stephanopoulos interrupted, correcting Obama.
“… my Christian faith. Well, what I’m saying is that he hasn’t suggested that I’m a Muslim.
George Stephanopoulos quietly corrected Obama instead of letting him take the hit. I recently mentioned in a previous blog how the media explained away the reason Obama had to do an oath do-over. Too many words to remember without that trusted teleprompter. As a result, when he did the second oath, it was "audio only", and I’m thinking it’s because he was reading from a teleprompter this time. He’s always getting a free pass when he screws up, yet Bush never even made it out of the gate without the media bashing him. The media frenzy over the bruise he sported was played out for days…
Bush joked about it, "If my mother is listening, mother, I should have listened to you: Always chew your pretzels before you swallow."
Bush lost consciousness for a brief time in the White House on Sunday evening while eating a pretzel and watching a professional football game on television. He fell from his couch and has a scrape and large bruise on his left cheekbone, plus a bruise on his lower lip. His glasses cut the side of his face. Not one story was reported about how lucky he was and how it could have been worse. Whenever something bad happened to Bush, they loved it and would exploit it for all it was worth. The media is guilty of what I call the eighth deadly sin: schadenfreude, which means pleasure taken from observing the misery of another. How sad for us that we can no longer depend on the news we hear; we get the news they want us to know―censorship at its best.
I’m predicting it is only a matter of time before our news will be censored like it is in other countries. Case in point: Only minutes into his presidency, Obama was censored by the Chinese government. References to communism and to dissent in his inaugural address were deleted from Chinese-language translations in the state media. During a television report, state-run CCTV cut away from the English-language video of Obama’s speech Tuesday, leaving the anchorwoman and a Washington correspondent befuddled about how to fill the airtime. The sentence that seemed to most irritate the Chinese was when Obama said, "Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions." We already see how our news reporters manipulate news stories about Obama by casting him in an adoring light. Obama sometimes chooses his words carelessly when there is not a teleprompter nearby, but don’t worry. The adoring media will cover up any Obama negativity. When his approval rating starts nosediving, and it will, can we depend upon the media to be straight with us? I doubt it.
As I’ve said over and over again, Obama is nothing without his best friend, the teleprompter. Can you imagine how this would have played out in the media if this were Bush instead of Obama. What the heck is the attraction? I just don’t see it. He makes one gaffe after another, yet his teflon coating protects him from negativity. I can see his cockiness starting to surface. Watch as he walks now, he’s now got a mocky, cocky stride, and we have his adoring fan base to thank for that. They’ve created a monster.
There are so many Obama gaffes…too many to mention here, but this is the latest "D’oh! alert" in the Obama gaffe library…
Hey Bam, that’s not the door!

Obama approaches a window of the Oval Office, instead of the door, shown to the right.
It looks like President Obama hasn’t gotten acquainted to his White House surroundings. On the way back to the Oval Office Tuesday, the President approached a paned window, instead of the actual door — located a few feet to his right.
Gee, from what I’ve heard about this guy, I’m surprised he didn’t just use his magic powers and walk through the window when it didn’t miraculously open up for him! This, to me, is an omen that he shouldn’t be on the other side of the window. Even if this does surface in the news, my guess is that his adoring media will explain this away by saying that he’s not yet familiar with his new home. Not only is he oblivious to his surroundings, he’s totally oblivious to what’s going on in this world. Clearly, he’s out of his element here. Maybe now the majority of you will see what few of us already know…that he’s just a media-hyped plain guy, not some supernatural being who has the power to stop all wars and bring us to prosperity. The reality is that if you want money in your pocket, you’ll have to save what little you can because this administration is on a spending spree, not a tax-cutting mission.
Doors didn’t open automatically for Obama’s predecessor either. While making a hasty exit from a 2005 press conference in Beijing, former President George W. Bush tugged on the handles of a door, only to find it locked.
Bush laughed off the blunder, but the pictures still live on as part of Bush’s “lame duck” legacy. However, there was little note taken of Obama’s rookie mistake.
Obama, who was returning from meeting with Congressional leaders, may have been distracted by Republicans’ icy reception to his $825 billion stimulus package, which is poised to pass on Wednesday even without a groundswell of Republican support.
