First a poor Wal-Mart employee is trampled to death when an out-of-control crowd broke down the doors, then there’s a shooting at a Toys R Us in California.  What is this world coming to?  Things are only going to get worse because people are desperate.  God, help us…
First, the Wal-Mart story (Video footage follows):
People can be despicable…
I can’t believe how these people acted like savages trying to get a bargain at this Wal-Mart store, breaking down the doors, killing a poor innocent man who was trying to do his job of controlling the thunderous crowd.  A pregnant woman also got trampled, and her condition hasn’t yet been given.  When you look at the pictures of the enormous crowd, it looks like an Obama rally.
The thing that really boils my blood about this is that there is no mention in this news story of the fact that Wal-Mart actually reopened their doors after 1 PM!  Can you believe the audacity of management?!  Is money really worth more than a human life in today’s world?  In a previous post, I gave a deserving "Woo Hoo" to Wal-Mart for a good deed, but here, their actions deserve "The Finger".  Wal-Mart spokesman, Dan Fogleman said, "The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority."  Yeah, right!
If he really thought his associates were a top priority, he would have closed their doors for the rest of the day in memory of their deceased employee and out of respect for his family.  Instead, the almighty dollar won out and they reopened.  I hope their sales plummet.  This truly is a "Black Friday".  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the employee.  May he rest in peace…
Now, here’s the news of the shooting in California:
Police are calling it a murder-suicide.
