NO-NEWS TV FOR ME…
There’s a reason the TV wasn’t on in our home on election night. We knew the inevitable was about to happen, and we wanted to get a good night’s sleep. Now every time we turn on the TV, it’s Obamarama 24/7. As soon as I saw the split screen of the Obamas and John and Jackie Kennedy with "The new Camelot" phrase, I thought I was going to dry heave for an hour. Sorry, but they couldn’t hold a candle to them. Now we’re being inundated with a tsunami of pictures and memories of the Obamas. What will they have for dinner, and what will they have for breakfast? What kind of puppy will they buy? What will they name it? What’s a typical day for them?
Enough already! It’s teetering on an obsessive level. Even if the election turned out differently, if there was all this in-your-face propaganda being rammed down my throat about McCain, it would get sickening as well. I understand that there are some people who are happy about the outcome so I guess I’ll have to avoid the continuing Obama news coverage until people remove those rose-colored goggles they’re all wearing. I’m not interested in what kind of food he eats or what kind of dog he gets. I’m more interested in what kind of change he will bring to America. We still don’t know this answer. I’d like to see the OBamedia ask him this question…
